Launch of Corporate Planner 3.0 at CeBIT 2010

At CeBIT 2010 in Hanover, Germany, from 2nd to 6th March 2010, the CP Corporate Planning AG software house is unveiling the new Release 3.0 of its integrated system for planning, analysis and reporting. With features designed to meet the needs of professional business planning, the vendor has extended the range of planning and analysis capabilities in its software.

Cell Comments and the Cell Comment Report for Greater Transparency

In Corporate Planner advanced Version 3.0, the user can comment all data fields. Comments can be recorded for any value, in any data stream and any time unit. The supplementary information makes it easier for all users in a company to understand and accept planning data and increases transparency in the plan. Actual values and analysis findings, such as variances from plan, can be explained in the same way. If desired, comments can also be integrated in planning and analysis reports.
To enable commented fields or specific comments to be found, the Cell Comment Report has been developed. It is used for calling up all comments sorted by field, stream, time unit, user or hierarchy level.

Intelligent Structure Build for Clarity and Performance

Another new function which makes drawing up a transparent plan easier is "Intelligent Structure Build". With this function, complex and cluttered tree structures can be rid of their superfluous empty fields. These fields are blocked in the database beforehand in order that only the required fields are processed by the server and passed to the client application. The result is a much more streamlined tree structure which is considerably quicker to process.

Other Improvements: Performance and Usability

In addition, many other functions have been optimised and speeded up in Corporate Planner 3.0, extra features have been built in and there are further noticeable improvements in usability.
