Forestry Contracting Association uses CORPORATE PLANNER to
See the Wood for the Trees

The Forestry Contract Association, the Official Trade Association for Forestry Contractors, has implemented CORPORATE PLANNER, the powerful Planning, Analysis and Reporting tool from CP.

For some time, FCA battled with a combination of spreadsheets, Sage and Crystal Reports. This combination left them spending large amounts of time trying to manage a solution which simply couldn’t cope with the amount and diversity of information they needed to produce. The system was constantly strained and vital tasks such as reforecasting proved impossible. The FCA decided to undertake the task of finding an integrated solution which combined all of their requirements for reporting, analysis and planning. After much searching and assessment, the decision was taken to purchase CORPORATE PLANNER. "CORPORATE PLANNER has the flexibility of spreadsheets, with the number crunching power of a database” said the FCA.

At any one time, FCA are managing 50+ separate and very diverse projects. Reporting and budgeting needs range from individual events within a training program, through to summary management reporting for the Board of Directors. With its easy to use graphical interface, unique tree structure approach and unrivalled flexibility, CORPORATE PLANNER enables the FCA to individually tweak the structure of each project, analyse and report on each project as well as producing powerful high level management reports on projects individually, and in consolidation.

All aspects of business planning, including budgeting, reforecasting, bid preparation, break-even analysis, variance analysis to individual budget holders, managers and board, HR planning and cash flow forecasting, are carried out within one fully integrated, simple to use solution. In the words of the FCA Chairman, CORPORATE PLANNER has lead to a "substantial step forward in the management information delivery of the FCA.” Monthly reporting is easier, re-forecasting now possible, and individual budget holders now get hold of relevant information more regularly and easily.
