BARC survey confirms outstanding position of Corporate Planning

Three top rankings and 36 leading positions in its peer groups

CP Corporate Planning AG (CP) has once again achieved an excellent rating in the world’s largest survey among users of planning software. According to The Planning Survey 21 by the Business Application Research Center (BARC), CP is not only top in connectivity with back-office systems (Predefined Connectors), but is also outstanding in many other criteria such as Project Length and Project Success as well as Forecasting, Simulation and Vendor Support. On top of that, Corporate Planning can boast a product satisfaction rate among its customers of 95%.

“The findings of the survey show why we are one of the leading vendors of planning software,” emphasizes Simone Doerfner, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Corporate Planning. “Along with our top ranking in the interfaces, which enable our customers to manage their data both easily and intelligently, we’re particularly pleased with the outstanding rating of our support and our very high recommendation rate.” According to the BARC survey, 95% of users rate the support from the vendor as excellent or good, and 93% would recommend Corporate Planning to others.

The most comprehensive survey on the use of planning software

The Planning Survey 21 was conducted from November 2020 until February 2021 among users of a wide range of planning solutions. In the survey, the software products were divided into eight categories (peer groups) and rated in 29 criteria (KPIs) by 1,422 participants.

Corporate Planning was assigned by the BARC analysts to four different peer groups (Integrated Corporate Planning Products, Financial Performance Management Products, Performance Management Specialists, Midsize/Departmental Implementations), in which it achieved a top ranking three times (Predefined Connectors) and a leading position thirty-six times (Project Success, Project Length, Business Value, Vendor Support, Planning Content, Forecasting, Simulation, Functionality, Performance Satisfaction and others).

Better quality in planning

“Corporate Planning has once again achieved an outstanding result in this year’s Planning Survey. The impressive ratings for many important KPIs strengthen CP’s position as one of the market-leading planning and corporate performance management platforms in Germany, Austria and Switzerland,” says Dr Christian Fuchs, Senior Analyst Data & Analytics at BARC. “Users benefit particularly from the improved integration of planning with analysis and reporting as well as from reduced resource requirements and increased transparency in planning.”
