Peter Sinn hands over CEO position to Matthias Kläsener

Succession plan successfully completed

Peter Sinn, founder and CEO of the Hamburg software house established in 1989, CP Corporate Planning AG, has completed his succession plan and, on 1st March 2018, will hand over the company to his successor, the industry expert Matthias Kläsener. Having focused on pioneering and development work for roughly 30 years, Peter Sinn will be devoting himself to his family as well as his personal interests. He will remain available to Corporate Planning in an advisory role.

Expansion of international networks

Matthias Kläsener comes with a wealth of experience in managing international software companies and IT solution providers. Most recently, as COO of the proALPHA Group, he was responsible for the global professional services and the industry solutions of the medium-sized ERP provider. Before that, Mr Kläsener, who has a degree in computer science and an MBA, worked in management at IBM Business Consulting Services for more than ten years, as well as in various other positions. From his previous work, he has gained wide-ranging expertise in the Business Intelligence market. In addition, the 51-year-old father of three has gathered a large amount of experience in the internationalisation of businesses in Germany and abroad. With his focus on the expansion of business segments and networks, he has been successful in putting his previous businesses on course for growth while attaching great importance to maintaining the business structures typical of SMEs.

“Over the past decades, Peter Sinn has built up a very respectable company with a very strong product range and extremely successful positioning in the market, for which I would particularly like to thank him. The corporate culture of Corporate Planning reflects the dedication and passion with which Peter Sinn has shaped his life’s work,” says Matthias Kläsener in tribute to his predecessor’s lifetime achievement.

Even more flexible offers thanks to cloud solution

Matthias Kläsener sees his task ahead in realising the growth potential: “Because the product range is so flexible, I can see growth potential across multiple sectors – not only within the present target groups. The new cloud business model also gives us excellent opportunities for working the market as a full-service provider.”

Peter Sinn set up the business in 1989 with the vision to provide corporate performance management staff with a software solution with which they can perform their daily tasks feeling motivated and enjoying their work. He is regarded as one of the pioneers in the development of corporate performance management software. Always with an ear to the ground in the market and a passion for translating business logic into innovative software processes, Peter Sinn has led the company successfully, financed entirely by equity, for almost thirty years. On 1st March 2018, he will be handing over an organically-grown business with over 130 employees and a high profile to his successor Matthias Kläsener.
